A Halifax radio section is under fire from a MP that is local who publicly denounced its “mail-order bride” competition.
On February 20, Q104 established “The Male is within the contest that is czech” which include five evenings in Prague, and four times with a female from www.czech-bride.com.
The showcases that are website when you look at the appropriately called “Czech ladies gallery.” The homepage promises a “trustworthy, expert and exclusive matchmaking service” for Czech females and international guys.
Halifax NDP MP Megan Leslie indicated her anger within the House of Commons on Wednesday after having apparently gotten complaints concerning the competition.
“As a lady, i will be furious. As a Canadian, i wish to apologize to all the women that are czech towards the 50,000 females of Czech descent surviving in Canada,” said Leslie.
Protesters call the competition sexist and dangerous.
